Gaga oh la la!
Hola amigos! Hope you’re all having a lovely week. It’s finally getting Autumnal here, which means I can break out the layers, huzzah!!!
Last weekend my pal Carrie and I went to see Bradley Cooper’s “A Star is born”. Ooft, it was amazing but I am still reeling from the emotions, it was a lot guys, I can’t lie. Lady Gaga was absolutely incredible as Ally, the singer songwriter who has given up on her dreams in the spotlight following years of rejection. Her character meets and falls in love with rockstar Jackson Maine played by Bradley Cooper, but as her career takes off, Jackson fights an ongoing battle with his demons. Ugh, just thinking about it makes me emotional amigos!
so I thought we’d have a look back at some of my favourite Gaga fashion moments. From the beginnings to the past week, and everything in between!
A Star is Born
Gaga and her team have been killing it for the press tour. Glamorous, over the top, artistic expression. Peak Gaga perfection!

Gaga said of her Marc Jacobs suit worn to Elle’s Women in Hollywood event above. “This was an oversized men’s suit made for a woman. Not a gown. And then I began to cry. In this suit, I felt like me today, I felt the truth of who I am well up in my gut. And then wondering what I wanted to say tonight become very clear to me.” She went on to say “As a sexual assault survivor by someone in the entertainment industry, as a woman who is still not brave enough to say his name, as a woman who lives with chronic pain, as a woman who was conditioned at a very young age to listen to what men told me to do, I decided today I wanted to take the power back. Today I wear the pants." A thought provoking speech, showing the true power of fashion.
In the beginning.
It all started with hair bows, bubble dresses, and the haus of Gaga, but the designers would follow, creating artistic couture that would perfectly marry the aesthetic with the music.

I started to think of Gaga as a true fashion Icon after seeing her bring McQueen’s otherworldly couture to life, with such ease and power. I don’t think there’s ever been a more coherent fusion of designer and musician. Both Bowie and Madonna have shown the power of fashion in their music, but it’s as if Gaga and McQueen really shared one vision, it was a real partnership of expression. The magazine editorials below from Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar really portrayed their unique ethereal beauty to the absolute max!
Every album brings with it a new image. I really enjoyed the pink Americana look for the Joanne album.
I loved Gaga’s recent foray into true Hollywood glam territory. Her Brandon Maxwell looks at the Oscars and the vanity fair party afterwards were sleek, and gorgeous!
Get the look.
Inspired by Gaga’s incredible oversized Marc Jacobs suit. Soft, flowy, comfy, yet strong and confident. Perfection. We’ve used a mix of designer and high street to create the look.
“Walk, walk, fashion baby…”
